Matcha 006 is a Japanese ceremonial grade matcha powder sourced from Kagoshima, Japan. Nestled in the southern reaches of the country, Kagoshima's volcanic soil and warm climate create growing conditions unlike anywhere else in Japan, giving rise to matcha with a character all its own.

Matcha 006 is a vibrant, multi-cultivar ceremonial grade matcha for those who want something with a little more depth in the cup. Crafted from a thoughtful blend of the Yabukita, Saemidori, and Yutaka Midori cultivars and harvested during the first flush, the earliest and most delicate picking of the season, it carries the full intensity of what Kagoshima has to offer. Nutty with a subtle umami undertone, it is bold without losing balance, layered without losing softness. There is depth here. And there is brightness too.

First flush leaves are the most tender of the harvest, picked before the plant has been asked too much of. That tenderness comes through in the cup. The color is vibrant and alive. The aroma is rich and inviting. The energy it offers is warm and awakening, the kind that brings you fully into your morning rather than easing you in.

Stone milled in the traditional way, slowly and deliberately, Matcha 006 honors the process as much as the leaf itself. It also froths exceptionally easily, making it a favorite for lattes both hot and cold.

This is matcha for the moment you want a little more energy in your cup.

Tasting notes: Nutty with subtle umami, super vibrant

  • To keep your matcha color and flavor vibrant, storage is key. Stash your matcha in an airtight container to prevent exposure to air.  Keep it in a cool, dark spot (the fridge works great) to shield it from light and moisture. Always grab a clean, dry spoon when scooping; contamination is a no-go. For maximum freshness and flavor, consume within a 2-3 months of opening. Follow these tips, and your matcha will stay as bold and vibrant as you are!
